Turnstiles

Pedestrian’s barriers of Access Control System

The turnstile are the elements that allow one person at a time to pass through.

The Access Ticket Validator controls the turnstile; i.e. it sends an “open” pulse command to release the turnstile for one person entry at a time.

The turnstile must send back a feedback: “entry has been done” signal. This signal tells the Validator to count one person entry, and also allows the next ticket holder in.

Important: All our turnstiles are fully compatible with the ticket access system and can be integrated with almost any existing electricity controlled turnstile.

The combination of the Ticket Validator and a Turnstile, creates a perfect solution:

Automatic Entry System which reduce manpower costs; increase your revenues by preventing illicit entries; and increase crowd safety and people security.

turnstile types

There are 4 main types of controlled turnstiles:

Type 1: Low Tripod Turnstiles

This type of turnstiles can be used for access control and ticketing systems, but each turnstile should be supervised by a steward or the ticket taker personal.

The reason is because of their shape and low height, it is relatively easy to jump over them or bend and pass under the arm…

On the other hand, they are small, they give open lookout design, and cost less then other types.

The combination of the Ticket Validator and a Turnstile (any type), creates a perfect solution:

Automatic Entry System which reduce manpower costs; increase your revenues by preventing illicit entries; and increase crowd safety and people security.

Type 2: Full Height Turnstiles

The full security turnstiles are very popular at for football stadiums in many countries.

The are robust, massive and can resist most vandalism activity…
They come in 3 main categories: standard carbon metal is the most popular, stainless steel is more expensively but actually, not that strong, and last: the luxury design of glass and aluminum or stainless frames.

Main features:

  • Full height, massive steel, electrically controlled turnstile.
  • One person for each “release command”
  • An internal circuit locks the rotor automatically after each passage.
  • Designed to work with OTOT Ticket Validators
  • Designed for outdoor.
  • Rugged construction ensures trouble-free performance and durability.
  • Safety: Rotating is smooth using integrated hydraulic speed controller, which slow the arms at the end of the rotating, and prevent arms bouncing back.
  • This hydraulic speed slower is also reduces the metal noise, and also contribute to a long time reliable and trouble free operation.
  • Any combination of fail-lock or fail-safe is available.
  • The Turnstile is fabricated from galvanized steel, and painted to customer color.
  • Stainless steel rotor is also possible
  • 3 rotor sections for 120 degrees of passage space, thereby allowing greater comfort in use.
  • Open construction shield increases visual security, and inspection by the venue’s security stuff.

Type 3: Medium Height Turnstiles

Those are custom made turnstiles, for medium height of 1 meter 1.3 meters and 1.6 meters. They are made from stainless steel, and may have 3 or 4 wings.

Their main usage is for applications where low turnstiles are not provide the desire level of security, but full height turnstiles are not an option.

For those customers, we developed those special heights turnstiles.

This is nice alternative for venues who want more security then then a low, tripod can provide- but don’t want the big, heavy full heights turnstiles….
They may be made from Stainless Steel, or very attractive, luxury, servo operated glass design.

Type 4: Speed Gates

The wings are going in and out of the cabinet, thus closing or opening the lane for pedestrian. They are expensive, yet very prestige units, for in door only applications.
